This is a beautiful book of awe-inspiring photographs. Nick Brandt has an amazing eye. The beauty and majesty of these creatures is something to behold. You will want to pick it up again and again.

As a Kenyan myself it is very easy to become jaded by all the images of wildlife around me, they really are a "dime a dozen".
However, looking at Nick Brandts work one cant help but be gripped by a sense of awe and respect at the power, beauty and fragility of the world that he sees though his lens. It also serves as a reminder of the burden of responsibility that rests on our collective shoulders to protect and nurture this habitat for future generations.

The photos are absolutely stunning, of that there is no doubt. But, sadly, the prints in this book do not come close to the fidelity of even those displayed on Nick Brandt's web site.
