Product Description
Almost everyone can "see" in the conventional sense, but developing photographic vision takes practice. Learning to See Creatively helps photographers visualize their work, and the world, in a whole new light.

Now totally rewritten, revised, and expanded, this best-selling guide takes a radical approach to creativity. It explains how it is not some gift only for the "chosen few" but actually a skill that can be learned and applied. Using inventive photos from his own stunning portfolio, author and veteran photographer Bryan Peterson deconstructs creativity for photographers. He details the basic techniques that went into not only taking a particular photo, but also provides insights on how to improve upon it—helping readers avoid the visual pitfalls and technical dead ends that can lead to dull, uninventive photographs.

This revised edition features the latest information on digital photography and digital imaging software, as well as an all-new section on color as a design element. Learning to See Creatively is the definitive reference for any photographers looking for a fresh perspective on their work.

* New edition of a best-selling title
* Updated to include digital
* All new artwork, and a totally revised and expanded text
* All-new section on color as a design element
* Written by one of Amphoto's bestselling authors

5 out of 5 stars Just what we 'average' photographers need...   June 26, 2010
Jeff Hansman (Carmel Valley, CA USA)
...to learn how to take better than average photographs. Peterson does a masterful job of explaining how you can use the elements of design to see more in a shot than you might otherwise. This book has earned a permanent place on my shelf because it's advice is practical, useful, and clearly stated. Moreover, the techniques and concepts it covers can be applied with ANY lens, contrary to what other here have written. It is one of the few photography books I've bought (and I've bought more than a few) that has truly helped me move forward in the hobby. The author's book on exposure is a fine primer for the beginner, and this volume is an excellent companion piece.

5 out of 5 stars Impressive!   April 17, 2010
Damon Shaw (Miami, FL United States)
This is a great book! Too often, while mulling through substandard pictures in similar books, one begins to sense a 'do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do' approach to teaching photography. "Learning to See Creatively" is NOT one of those books as rock-solid concepts are accompanied by breathtaking images...along with detailed explanations of the techniques used by the author when taking each picture. I give this book an A+.

I ordered this item more than a month ago. I ordered two other books from different vendors alongside of it. other orders have been received in a timely manner.
I don't know what the delay or problem is with this book's delivery. If you don't intend to send it, give me my money back!!!!!
