Product Description
The Magic Lantern Guide for Canon Powershot G11 by Michael Guncheon is the Successor to the best-selling Canon G10, with durable camera body, lots of manual controls, bigger pixels for better low-light photos, an articulated LCD that swings out and swivels 180 degrees for overhead shots and more. The ideal secondary, backup camera for D-SLR users. Guncheon has written nine other Magic Lantern Guide on Canon cameras and is an expert on the brand.

4 out of 5 stars Better than the Others   May 25, 2010

This guide is pretty good. It does give you pictures, some step by step, and can certianly aid you in getting to know more about this camera and settings in general. Specifically for the G11 it does a good job. While I do wish it was a little better, it is the best that I reviewed of the ones out there. It is quality construct (firm pages, gloss, colored photos, and compact size to take on the road with you). I rate it 4 out of 5 because I do wish it had a little more to it, but again, compared to what else is out there, this is the best I could find. It will definantly help you increaase your ability of use with the G11, and can be a quick study as well! Now if they would come out with a DVD manual that would be PERFECT ...okay a little wishing on my part!

WELL WRITTEN and informative. Recommend as a must read over Canon's sub-miniture, poorly organized manual. Highly recommend

4 out of 5 stars Better Than I Expected and Quite a Few Nuggets in Here   April 5, 2010

I bought this book on a whim, not expecting much. It's actually not bad. There are plenty of tips and tutorials absolutely not apparent from reading Canon's miniature comic book/manual that comes with the camera. If you're interested in drilling down from just basic "auto" settings and knowing more about the camera, I absolutely recommend this book.
