Long Live HDR August 16, 2010 D. Fowler (CA USA) This book is one of the very best I've read regarding photography. Well explained and easy to understand the HDR process. It opens the possibility of re-visiting old photos and giving new and exciting life to them. Good job!!
Great Book July 4, 2010 Mr. Aaron J. Aldridge (Phoenix, Az) This is a great book about HDR and especially Photomatix. Very in depth and at times a hard read, more like a textbook, but very rewarding. After reading a few chapters I felt that stepped up my game with HDR and instantly improved my photos. I'm very glad that I bought this book. If you have questions about HDR and Photomatix then this is the book for you.
One of the best books on HDR February 27, 2010 S. Pedi (New York) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
My review will be brief and not as interestingly critiqued as many of the other 5 stars were.
I bought the book because I was only interested in "PHOTOMATIX', and how to use it.
This book goes much further than just photomatix which did annoy me some. So, the actual pages
dedicated to Photomatix were not that many, which I disliked.
But, I can highly recommend this book. Its much better than some others out there
The book "Mastering HDR Photography" by Michael Freeman was a total disaster for me.
I'm quite sorry I bought that book simply because it was much to much difficult to comprehend.
But, yes, this book by Carr and Correll is excellent. It also shows the reader some of the
actual setting that you can also use to get a sensational picture. AND, you also can leave those
setting in place to use again for all your future photos if you desire to do that, which I have.
I just wish that there'd be a decent book solely about Photomatix........
Great for Photoshop Elements Users February 10, 2010 Art 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Unlike other HDR books I have seen, this one is intended for Photoshop Elements users. The others are directed mainly at users of the full Photoshop program. If you're using Elements, this is the book for you.
ny library catering to digital photographers needs this October 13, 2009 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
HDR photography can create photos that mimic fine paintings, provide outstanding images, and more. Learn how to create HDR images using camera features, how to process and tweak them using Photoshop and Photomatix, and how to create landscapes, interiors, and more from single exposures using the basics covered in HDR Photography Photo Workshop. Any library catering to digital photographers needs this, which is packed with color photo examples and screenshots throughout.
